Ella Adler, a 15-year-old ballerina, was killed in a tragic waterskiing accident in Biscayne Bay on Saturday, May 12, 2024. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is investigating the incident, which occurred near Nixon Beach in Miami-Dade County around 4:30 p.m.
Ella was a force of nature, captivating everyone with her light and energy. She was a talented ballerina who had performed in over 100 Miami City Ballet productions at the Adrienne Arsht Centre. She was also an accomplished student and a devoted member of the Ransom Everglades Jewish Students Association.
The FWC is searching for a light blue Centre Console boat with three or four white outboard engines and a blue or dark blue bottom paint, which was last seen leaving Nixon Beach in Key Biscayne and traveling west.
