Devyn Chanel Ransom-White, a vibrant and compassionate individual, passed away on May 6, 2024, at the tender age of 25. Her untimely death has left a profound impact on her loved ones and the community at large.
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Devyn was a distinguished student at Landstown High School, graduating in 2017. She went on to pursue her passion for helping others by becoming a Pediatric Dental Assistant, graduating from Dental Careers Foundation in 2020.
Devyn’s selflessness and kindness knew no bounds, as evident in her decision to become an organ donor. This heroic act saved the lives of four individuals in need, a testament to her generosity and love for humanity.
Devyn is survived by her loving family, including her mother, Chanel Miller, and stepfather, David Miller; her father, Vincent Ransom, and stepmother, Angelique Ransom; her grandparents, William and Patricia Howell, and Donna Sherrell; her sisters, Dominique Rauch (Anthony Rauch) and Jasmine Ransom; her brother, Jalen Turner; her aunt, Jeena Miller (William Miller); her uncles, Johnnie Ransom Jr. and Michael Ransom; her nieces, Kaelyn and Kennedi Rauch; her nephew, Anthony Rauch III; and her beloved fur babies, Meechie, Moochie, and Cocoa.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Intensive Care Unit at Sentara Leigh Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during Devyn’s final days.
