A devastating car accident occurred on Highway 59 near Ginger Blue, Missouri, in the early hours of Monday morning, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of two young lives. Dane R. Paulson, a 25-year-old resident of Anderson, Missouri, and Hevenlee R. Williams, a 27-year-old also from Anderson, tragically passed away in the crash.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 12:14 a.m. on May 13, 2024. A 1985 Chevrolet Corvette, driven by Dane R. Paulson, was traveling north on Highway 59 when it veered off the right side of the road and collided with a tree. The impact was severe, and the car was totaled. Ray’s Towing from Lanagan, Missouri, was responsible for removing the wreckage from the scene.
Dane R. Paulson, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by McDonald County Deputy Coroner B.J. Goodwin at 1:16 a.m. His body was later transferred to the McDonald County Coroner’s Office.
Hevenlee R. Williams, a passenger in the car, also sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Like Paulson, she was not wearing a seat belt. Her body was also transferred to the McDonald County Coroner’s Office.
This tragic accident marks the 32nd and 33rd fatalities in Troop D’s jurisdiction for 2024. Trooper W.M. Graham and Corporal M.K. Eden were among the officials who investigated the crash.
