Henry E. (Hank) Adams started working for Peter Kiewit and Sons Company as a field engineer at the Bolt Hill Station in Baltimore in 1977. He later earned a B.S. degree in construction engineering technology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an Associate Degree in Applied Science from State University of New York Delhi in 1979. After a year, he was promoted to Field Engineer/Superintendent for the Baltimore-based Fort McHenry Sunken Tube Tunnel project. The Dadeland South/Hialeah Station project in Miami, significant road construction projects in Baltimore, the Tower City Bridges project in Cleveland, and serving as project manager for significant road and highway projects in Pennsylvania were among the other sizable projects that came after.
After that, he was given the positions of Area Manager for the Northeast District in 1999 and Manager of Heavy Construction for the Grow Tunnelling Division. He was appointed district manager of the Eastern District in 2001, with oversight for projects in the Chicago, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions. About Hank Adams Adams received a promotion to Division Manager in the Eastern Region in 2008. He is in charge of the executive oversight of the Eastern, Southeast, TIC Marine, Underground, Mass Electric Industrial (Boston), and Mass Electric Transit Districts.

He was elected to the Peter Kiewit Sons Co. board of directors and given a promotion to his current role as executive vice president of Kiewit Infrastructure Group in 2013.
Adams participates in trade associations that promote heavy construction, demonstrating his commitment to the building sector. In addition to serving on the industry boards at SUNY Delhi and Virginia Tech, he is a Trustee of the New Jersey Chapter of Associated General Contractors and a former president of the American Society of Civil Engineers Construction Institute.

Following his time on the membership committee, he was chosen to serve as the organization’s secretary from 2005 to 2007 and as its treasurer in 2009.
