Jerry’s early life was marked by a strong work ethic, graduating from high school and immediately starting his career at Guyler Company in 1979. On September 12, 1985, Jerry married Debbie Harkey, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Jerry was a devout Catholic and attended Catholic school growing up. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Roger Blakley and Mary Brewer, but leaves behind a large and loving family, including his wife, Debbie; brother, Sandy Blakley and his wife, Jo; sons, Evan Blakley and his wife, Sarah, and Randy Thorp and his wife, Joni; grandchildren, Isiah Thorp and his wife, Bethany, Chloe Thorp, Randon Thorp, Maya Kriegel, and Everett Blakley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him, but his legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those around him. His love for his family, community, and the land will never be forgotten, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
