Ruby Jewel Helton Obituary, Death: Resident of Morehead, Kentucky, Passes Away – Funeral Services to be Held at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel

Ruby Jewel Helton, a beloved resident of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead. She was 70 years old. Born on September 5, 1953, in Carter County, Kentucky, Ruby was a homemaker and a former worker at the Morehead, Maryland, Life Care Center. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, and her love and affection will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Ruby is survived by her two daughters, Kristy LaRae Ramey and Heather Reann Ramey, both of Morehead, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Delina Howard (Ray) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Jennifer White of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Michael Wayne Tapp, Kaylen Rae Leadingham, Rayden Eugene Leadingham, Peyton Reann Leadingham, Alexis LaRae Tapp, and Jacob Ray Blevins; and one son, James Ray Blevins (Carla) of Morehead, Kentucky.

Ruby is also survived by her brother, Danny Ray Middleton (Wilma), and six sisters, Janet Sue Puckett (Jimmy) of Morehead, Carrie Martha Gilbert of Grayson, Darlene Hall (Al) of Grayson, Debra Ann Steagall (Timothy) of Lancaster, Alberta Howard (Rob) of Flatwoods, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harve Lennis Middleton and Vici Zelma Barker Middleton; two brothers, Harvey Lennis Middleton, Jr. and Larry Gene Middleton; two sisters, Rosemary James and Kathy Gilbert; and one daughter, Tammy Rena Blevins.

Ruby’s funeral services will be held at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Larry Hamm will preside over the services, and burial will follow at Sand Ridge Cemetery in Carter City, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Dennis Middleton, Rob Howard, Dylan Howard, Jacob Blevins, Chris Middleton, and Phillip Sagraves.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 12 to 2 p.m. Ruby’s family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life.

Ruby was a kind and caring person who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching television and was a dedicated homemaker. Her family was her everything, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ruby Jewel Helton Memorial Fund, c/o Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
