With profound sadness and a deep sense of loss, we mourn the passing of Brian Blomain, an associate attorney at Marshall Dennehey in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose untimely death has left a void in the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues. Brian’s remarkable life was a testament to his dedication to the legal profession, his passion for learning, and his unwavering commitment to excellence.

Brian’s academic journey began at Loyola University Maryland, where he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and a Philosophy minor. His membership in the Phi Sigma Tau Honor Society and his work as a research assistant to Professor David S. Caudill demonstrated his academic brilliance and his ability to engage in complex scholarly conversations. Brian’s paper, “EXPERTISE IN POLITICAL CONTEXTS: LATOUR AVEC THE THIRD WAVE IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY STUDIES,” showcased his research skills and his ability to contribute meaningfully to academic discourse.

After completing his undergraduate education, Brian attended Villanova Charles Widger School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor degree and made a name for himself as a talented and dedicated legal scholar. As the Executive Editor of the Villanova Environmental Law Journal, Brian produced a noteworthy paper titled “Trump Administration Makes a Splash: The Altered Clean Water Act’s Rippling Effect on State and Federal Water Regulation,” demonstrating his ability to analyze and explain the intricacies of environmental legislation and policy.

Brian’s legal career began at a small New Jersey insurance defense company, where he gained valuable experience handling a wide range of insurance defense cases. He later joined Marshall Dennehey, where he became an integral part of the casualty department, defending self-insured and insured clients in cases involving significant losses. Brian’s expertise covered various areas, including insurance coverage, commercial trucking, construction accidents and flaws, automotive liability, premises liability, and sports, amusement, and entertainment disputes.

Brian’s passing has left a gaping hole in the lives of those who knew him, and his legacy will be deeply felt in the legal community. His dedication to his craft, his passion for learning, and his unwavering commitment to excellence inspired countless individuals, and his memory will continue to inspire us to strive for greatness.
