Hadley Wallace, a bright and talented young man, tragically passed away in a car accident on June 14, 2024, at the age of 19. The DWU football program announced the heartbreaking news, sending shockwaves throughout the community. Hadley was a freshman on the DWU football roster, and his passion for the sport was evident in everything he did.

Born in Alexandria, South Dakota, to Ralph and Stephanie Wallace, Hadley was a natural athlete. He played football, track, basketball, and baseball at Hanson High School, where he was an invaluable asset to his teams.

His impressive skills on the field earned him All-Conference honors for three consecutive seasons. Hadley’s impressive high school career stats include 3,373 yards, 41 touchdowns, 158 tackles, and two interceptions.

At Dakota Wesleyan University, Hadley continued to pursue his passion for football, playing running back for the DWU team while studying exercise science. His dedication and talent made him a valuable asset to the team, and his presence will be deeply missed.

The news of Hadley’s passing has left the DWU family and the community in mourning. Friends, family, and teammates have taken to social media to express their condolences and share their memories of Hadley.

“Prayers to the family of Hadley Wallace,” the DWU Tailgating crew posted on Facebook. “How depressing! To all of my relatives and friends, prayers!” wrote Glenda Jo Bohlmann. Shannon Roost Foust added, “This news is absolutely heartbreaking. I’m sending out many prayers!”
