The Portsmouth Police Department (PPD) was notified of a gunshot incident at around 10:30 p.m. in the area of the 4700 block of Haywood Drive, which is close to High St W on Route 17. When the police arrived, they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound so severe that it was seriously endangering their life.
Aveyon Jordan, the victim, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a subsequent PPD report. My kid has lost a great deal of friends with whom he used to go to school, play sports, or simply hang out. Today, my heart aches for him.
