Mariana Alba Garcia Murder Suicide, Death – After the bodies of two Lamar County Independent School District teachers were discovered inside a residence in the Richmond area on Monday evening, an investigation has been launched. The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered inside a residence located in the 23300 block of Darst Field Trail, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office investigation. The authorities did not disclose any specifics regarding the manner in which they passed away; however, they did state that there is no danger to the general public. In the opinion of the FBCSO, the man and the woman were a pair.
The bodies of two teachers were discovered inside a property located in the 23300 block of Darst Field Trail in Richmond, Texas. The deceased individuals were identified as Mariana Alba Garcia, who taught fourth grade at Long Elementary School, and Gene Mark Hudgson Sjogreen Jr., who taught third grade at Taylor Ray Elementary.
Educator Mariana Alba Garcia, who teaches fourth grade at Long Elementary, and Gene Mark Hudgson Sjogreen Jr., who teaches third grade at Taylor Ray Elementary, were named as the couple by the Lamar County Independent School District in an email that was issued to parents.
The loss of not only colleagues but also friends and educators who have made an impact on the lives of a great number of people in our district is something that we regret. According to the email sent out by Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens, “During this time of grief, our prayers and deepest sympathies are with their families, friends, students, and all those who knew them.
” “We are reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of coming together as a community to support one another in times of grief.” Mariana Alba Garcia, who taught fourth grade at Long Elementary School, and Gene Mark Hudgson Sjogreen Jr., who taught third grade at Taylor Ray Elementary, were named as the individuals that passed away. Both of these individuals were educators.
Deputy sheriffs from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the residence in order to conduct a wellness check, and it was then that they discovered the deaths. According to the authorities in charge of law enforcement, the cause of their deaths has not yet been disclosed.

ABC13 is making efforts to obtain additional information regarding the manner in which the couple passed away. The Lamar County Integrated School District (CISD) issued a statement that “we are reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of coming together as a community to support one another in times of grief.”During the time that classes will resume on Monday, the Long and Ray campuses will also have staff members available to provide counseling and assistance, according to the LCISD.
