Accident On 495 Today, Fairfax County I-495 Beltway tractor-trailer crash delays

During the investigation of a collision that involved two tractor-trailers and a passenger vehicle, personnel are closing three out of four lanes on Interstate 495 at mile marker 44 near Georgetown Pike in McLean, Virginia.

This is according to the officials reporting the situation. On Tuesday, a collision caused a portion of the inner loop of the Capital Beltway to be closed; however, some of the lanes have since been reopened. According to the authorities, the collision took place on the inner loop of Interstate 495, exactly after Exit 34 at Rockville Pike.

There was a collision between two tractor trucks. Minor injuries were sustained by one of the drivers, who was transported to a nearby hospital. According to the Maryland State Police, dealing with the situation of one of the tractor trailers leaking fuel was going to be a “lengthy process.”

At that time, all lanes of traffic were closed, and the only way for vehicles to continue forward was on the shoulder of the road. No other information regarding the crash has been made public.

As a result of a collision involving many vehicles that occurred on Wednesday morning, a part of southbound Interstate 495 in Fairfax County was closed for several hours. A man who is 28 years old has been charged with the incident.

According to the Virginia State Police, troopers responded to a collision in the southbound lanes of Interstate 495 at approximately seven in the morning. The collision involved a passenger vehicle and two tractor-trailers, and it occurred close to Exit 45. The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to jackknife, according to officials from the VSP; however, fortunately, no one was hurt in the altercation.
