Clemson University Public Safety (CUPD) stated that they were notified of an email mentioning potential explosives on Wednesday morning.
Promptly, they launched an immediate response and investigation.
Law enforcement has found no evidence to substantiate a specific and credible threat at present.
CUPD also contacted the State Law Enforcement Division’s Fusion Center, which indicated that approximately 225 other institutions have received identical or similar emails over several months.
Clemson officials are conducting an ongoing investigation into the matter.
