Death: Case Schoening Sidney, NE Obituary: On March 8, the 5-year-old passed away in Chadron

Death of Case Schoening: Case W. Schoening, originally from Sidney, Nebraska, died on Friday, March 8, 2024 in Chadron, Nebraska. Love and joy will always be associated with the legacy he left behind. Case’s family and loved ones are in complete shock at his untimely and terrible death, which happened while he was just five years old. They have lost a vibrant and young person.

To honour Case’s memory, a Rosary Service will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sidney on Thursday, March 14, 2024, starting at six o’clock in the evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., immediately after the funeral ceremony. The service, which will provide solace and comfort to those who are mourning the death of a loved one, will be officiated by Fathers C.P. Varghese, Dan Gilbert, and Tim Stoner.

Case will be buried in Sidney, Nebraska’s Greenwood Cemetery, where he will rest in peace for all of eternity, after the burial ceremony.

For those who are unable to come in person, the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page will also be livestreaming the ceremonies, thanks to arrangements made by the family. Furthermore, the burial rites will be recorded on camera and posted on their website for future viewing. Friends and relatives will be able to respect you from a distance thanks to this.

Due to the tremendous support that Case has received from the community, a memorial fund has been created in his honour. Donations may be made at Security First Bank in Sidney, Nebraska, under the name “Case Schoening Memorial,” or via Venmo @CaseSchoeningMemorial, to provide anyone who would want to support Case’s legacy the opportunity to do so.

During this difficult time, friends and family are welcome to stop by the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. to offer their condolences to the grieving family and give them a little token of support during this difficult time.
