Brenda Foster Obituary, Death – At the age of seventy, Brenda Kay Foster, who resided in Elberta, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2024. The complete obituary will be published later. The Jowett Family Funeral Home in Benzonia is in charge of the arrangements. At the age of 52, Brenda R. Foster, who was once from Toledo and currently resides in Columbus, Ohio, made the leap from life to life forever on July 24, 2009. An early commitment was made to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This commitment was made at a young age.
After completing her high school education at Rogers High School in Toledo, she went on to pursue further qualifications at the University of Toledo and Ohio State University. She was a member of Toast Masters International and was currently employed by the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio. Prior to that, she had worked for Medical Mutual of Ohio and Primerica Financial Services. Additionally, she was a member of the organization herself.
Donald T. Foster, the father, of Toledo, Michigan, as well as his brothers Darryl of Detroit, Michigan, and Gerald Deborah of Lansing, Michigan, as well as his sisters Beverly Greg Cox of Memphis, Tennessee, LaWanda Reuben Parks, Janelle Bernard Nelson, Sherrie Bill Swanson, and Gwen Steve Armour, all of Toledo, as well as a large number of special nieces and nephews, family members, and a large number of friends, are among those who survive him. Kiley and Ruby Smith welcomed their daughter Brenda Joyce into the world on November 22nd, 1943 in the town of Mendenhall, Mississippi.
During her early youth, she spent a significant amount of time attempting to keep up with her brother, Nathan “Smitty,” and her cousins, while also making memories that she will treasure forever. It was a blessing for Brenda to meet the man who would become the love of her life, Joe Ray Foster, not long after her mother passed away, despite the fact that she had suffered the devastating loss of both of her parents at a young age.
The fact that Joe and her mother were born on the same day, August 25th, was the reason she always said that she knew he was “the one.” On June 2, 1962, Brenda and Joe tied the knot at the parsonage of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, which was the place where they had attended services during the time that they were dating. The wedding was the beginning of a wonderful life together for the engaged couple.
The union was blessed by God with two children, Danada Dawn and Joseph Randall “Randy,” and Brenda devoted herself to being a mother to both of them. Before moving to Florence in 1979, the family had a wonderful time together in Jackson, Mississippi, where they had lived for many years. Brenda began her career in the Budget Office of the Mississippi Department of Education in the year 2000, working under Ralph McDonald, who was the Director at the time.
One of the most essential things about Ralph was that he was a treasured and close friend. Ralph was a wonderful boss. Following Ralph’s passing, Brenda moved on to work for the Mississippi Department of Transportation, where she was employed as the receptionist for Executive Director Larry L. “Butch” Brown. There was a lot of back-and-forth between her and Butch about which of them was the genuine master yo-yo champion, given that both of them had been awarded the title when they were younger.
She enjoyed interacting with the numerous people that came to visit the MDOT and working with the other staff members. One of her favorite things to do, on the other hand, was to have lunch with her daughter, Danada, who was also employed by the Montana Department of Transportation. From the beginning of her career in public service to the end, Brenda consistently proved her commitment to the State of Mississippi and to her fellow employees.
Being a grandmother to her grandchildren was the one thing that Brenda liked more than anything else in the world. She was completely devoted to her family. She particularly enjoyed traveling, going to their numerous performances and activities, and spending time with her family over the holidays. She had a great deal of pride for them and encouraged their growth when they were maturing into adults. “Always seek God’s guidance in every step you take,” was the piece of advice that she regarded as the most important.
