Shirley Cantrell Obituary, Death – On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Shirley Cantrell, who was 71 years old and lived in Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away at her residence.

The late James “Hobert” Justice and Johnlene Keene Justice welcomed their daughter Shirley into the world on April 2, 1952 in Pike County, Kentucky. Not only did Shirley’s parents pass away before her, but her Great-Grandchild, Katelynn Hamilton, also passed away before her.

Shirley’s devoted husband, James Cantrell Jr., her two daughters, Dulcena (Michael) Fuson and Kathy (Dale) Hamilton, her four grandchildren, Tyler Hamilton, Sarah (Coty) Hamilton, Jacob Hamilton, and Jonathan Fuson, and her one great-grandchild, Danleigh Hamilton, as well as her two brothers, Ronnie Justice and Garry Justice, are among those who survive her.

As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley was a treasured member of the family. Everyone who knew and loved her will miss her terribly.

She will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends at the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from five o’clock in the afternoon until ten o’clock in the evening, and the ceremony will begin at seven o’clock.

Beginning at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, March 15, 2024, funeral services for Shirley will be held in the chapel of the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home.

Following the services, Shirley will be laid to rest at the Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, Kentucky. Mike Fuson and Keith Collins will preside over all of Shirley’s funeral and memorial services.
