Susan Anderson MD Obituary, Death – Susan Kae Anderson, age 55, passed away at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on November 1, 2021. She was a resident of Bruce, South Dakota. Grace Free Lutheran Church in Bruce, South Dakota will be the location of the funeral services that will take place on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. A prayer service will be held at Grace Free Lutheran Church at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021, following the visitation that will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Without flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Petri Cemetery, which is located in rural Bruce, South Dakota.
The funeral service will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of Grace Free Lutheran Church, which is located in Bruce, South Dakota. A member of the family is receiving assistance from Rude’s Funeral Home with the arrangements. On April 12, 1966, Susan Kae (Spader) Anderson was born at the Public Health Hospital in Charles Mix County. She was named after her mother. As a foster kid, she was accepted into the household of Darrel and Joan (Feldhaus) Spader when she was only three days old. It didn’t take long before it became clear that she needed to be a member of the family on a permanent basis. The date of Sue’s adoption was April 2nd, 1968.
Sue spent her childhood on the Hayland Angus Ranch, which is located close to Fedora, South Dakota. She went to Howard High School until she graduated in 1984. Following the completion of her high school education, Sue continued her study at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, South Dakota, where she earned a number of degrees.
In addition to being a mother, Sue worked as an accountant, being an insurance agent at State Farm, being an office manager at Dust Control LLC, being a guardian for her brother Dana, and being a homemaker. In the year 1987, Sue gave birth to her first son, Cody, and in the year 1993, she gave birth to her second son, Dustin.
Sue met “the right man,” Jeff Anderson, in Troop 56 of the Boy Scouts, where she was a member. The two were her pride and joy, and together they became active in the Boy Scouts. Before they finally tied the knot on January 10, 2010, the two of them had been dating for almost an entire decade.
During that time period, Sue became a stepmother to two children, Adam and Emily, and the family eventually grew to include six members. Sue had a deep appreciation for the natural world and enjoyed activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping. During her childhood, she was frequently seen riding her horse, Kit, and playing outside in the fresh air.
In more recent times, she has been observed hard at work tending to her garden and preserving her crop in cans. Reading, crafts, stitching, and biking side-by-side were some of Sue’s other favorite activities. What brought Sue the most happiness in recent times was the arrival of her granddaughter, Remi, who is also known as Peanut.
At the same time, Sue cherished every aspect of her roles as a mother, a caregiver, and a grandmother. Affectionate, compassionate, and wonderfully opinionated, she was a wonderful person. Her family members who came before her possessed a sense of humor that was the only thing that could compare to hers.
Sue was the kind of lady who could make a room come alive with her contagious laughter and her enthusiasm for life. She was a truly fun-loving person. Her loved ones, friends, and anybody else who had the privilege of knowing her will profoundly miss her.
Sue is survived by her devoted husband Jeff, her sons Cody Behlings and Dustin Bothwell, her stepchildren Adam Anderson (Jena) and Emily (Jordan) Goulet, her grandchildren Liam Brannan, Jaidan Goulet, and Remington Bothwell, her father Darrel Spader, her siblings Sherryl (Mike) Rankin, Joe (Carla) Spader, Todd Spader, and Dana Spader, her mother-in-law Marjorie Nelson, and a large number of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. In heaven, Sue was welcomed with open arms by her mother, Joan Spader; her grandparents, Bernard and Mary Feldhaus and John and Katie Spader; and her father-in-law, Richard Anderson.
