Brigid Kelly Obituary, Death Cause – Brigid Kelly, a former Hamilton County Auditor who served her community with love, integrity, and a characteristic pop of kelly green, passed away on Tuesday due to esophageal cancer, according to her family. 40 was her age.

Within minutes following Kelly’s announcement that she would be quitting in order to concentrate on her health the previous week, the social media feeds in the surrounding area appeared to turn green.

Kelly was rarely seen in public without her signature green clothing, and her friends and colleagues were posting pictures of themselves with her and sharing stories that expressed admiration for her positive attitude, the work she did in her career to strengthen unions, and for her accomplishments as a county auditor, state representative, and Norwood councilwoman.

Kelly’s green clothing was a signature piece of hers. A statement was sent by Kelly’s family, which read as follows: “We are deeply saddened to inform you that our beloved Brigid Kelly passed away Tuesday evening at her residence.”

After a two-year fight against cancer, she was surrounded by nothing but love and peace as she passed away. The recent resignation of Brigid from her position as Hamilton County Auditor was a result of her deteriorating health. In addition to being a cherished wife, daughter, and sister, she was also a treasured friend and a genuine public servant.

In the beginning, Kelly’s symptoms were misdiagnosed by medical specialists, but she was finally able to receive a diagnosis two years ago. Due to the fact that she desired for the attention to be directed toward her job, she did not discuss her health in public very much.

“I have known Brigid Kelly for decades,” said Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus in a letter that she sent after she resigned from her position. Throughout her whole adult life, she has been dedicated to fighting for the things that she believes in, including fairness, justice, and dignity for others.
