Delmar Caldwell Death – After hearing the news of the demise of a truly remarkable individual, Dr. Delmar Caldwell, hearts were filled with grief as the information was shared. He was held in high esteem as a member of our community.

In the case that his achievements and the things he has done during his life were to be summarized, we would remain at this site for the rest of the day while the event was taking place. The contributions that he and his other half, Mrs. JoAnn Thompson, have made to the Bay High Basketball program, on the other hand, are acknowledged and appreciated by the program’s administration.

When a fundraiser was held, they always raised their hand first among the people who contributed, and he never hesitated to make a donation for a meal or a child who was less impoverished. He was always willing to help. These people could always count on him to be willing to assist them.

If it weren’t for the financial support of these folks, the photograph of the State Championship that is currently being displayed in the Tiger Dome for the Boys would not have been possible. In the course of their adoption of a young boy called Kelton Thompson, they altered the course of his life in a manner that could not be undone.

During the course of their life, this was one of the most significant things that they were able to do. I am of the belief that we are able to reach the conclusion that Coach Thompson would not be the person that he is now if they did not made a significant sacrifice, and Bay High would not have the tradition that it does on the side of the Boy’s right now.

This is something that I believe we are able to say. We will be eternally thankful to him for his assistance, as he was one of our most loyal supporters. In point of fact, he was one of our most prominent supporters.

Thank you very much for the excellent work that you have done; if it were a photograph of 160, then Dr. Caldwell would be the face of the university’s emblem. We appreciate all of your hard work.

Our thoughts and prayers will remain with Mrs. JoAnn and the Thompson family as they go through this difficult time. We will continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
