Ronald Robinson Obituary, Death – On January 1, 2024, Ronald P. Robinson, who was 85 years old, passed away in a calm and serene manner at his residence. His wife, Beverly (Ramos) Robinson, whom he had been married to for the past 36 years, was the recipient of his affectionate husbandship.

He was a longstanding resident of Swansea and was born in Fall River. His parents, Milton F. Robinson and Flora A. (Romano) Robinson, both passed away before he was born.

He attended Bristol Community College and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. He graduated from BMC Durfee High School in 1955 and was a member of the class of 1955 graduated. After working for Nynex for thirteen years as a computer programmer, he finally retired in the year 1992. Ron was a member of the Little Theatre of Fall River for a very long period.

He did not only serve as President of the organization, but he also directed, designed, and played in over sixty different productions. He was an enthusiastic member of the Screen Actors Guild and enjoyed going to a wide variety of theater productions, as well as traveling to New York City for theater performances and spending time in their property in Ogunquit, Maine.

Not only does he leave behind his wife, but he also leaves behind three sons: Dennis Robinson and his wife Marianne of Fall River, James Robinson of New York City, and Kevin Robinson of Fall River; two daughters: Nancy Plasker and her husband Matthew of Natick and Karen Robinson of Fall River; one sister, Gayle Velozo; a daughter-in-law, Marcelle St. Martin; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, with two more on the way; and a large number of nieces and nephews. For the wonderful care and assistance that they offered to both Ron and Bev, the family would like to express their gratitude to his angels, Selena, Pat, Leise, and Karin of Home Instead.

At nine o’clock in the morning on Monday, January 8, 2024, his Funeral Service will be held at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, which is located at 189 Gardners Neck Road in Swansea.

This will be followed by a Funeral Mass at ten o’clock in the morning at St. Dominic’s Church, which is located at 1277 GAR Highway in Swansea. Friends and family members are welcome to attend.
