Barry Moll Obituary, Chaplain At St. Joseph’s Hospital, Buckhannon Has Sadly Passed Away

Barry Moll Obituary, Death Cause –  On March 26, 2024, Reverend Barry Robert Moll, who was 69 years old and lived in Buckhannon, West Virginia, went away after a brief fight with cancer. He passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his adoring family. Barry Moll was the middle child of Karl Moll, who passed away, and Janet Keller Moll, who also passed away. He was born on May 16, 1954 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Pamela Tanner Moll, Barry’s wife of 48 years, is the only person he leaves behind.

In addition, he is survived by his four children: son Brandon Moll, who is married to Amy and lives in Craigsville, West Virginia; daughter Emily Roush, who is married to Tony and lives in Morgantown, West Virginia; son Jonathan Moll, who is married to Celia and lives in Charleston, West Virginia; and daughter Elizabeth Brumfield, who is married to Jonathan and lives in Charleston, West Virginia. Sister Sherrill (Phil) Strickland of Clinton, Massachusetts, and brother Kirk (Mary) Moll of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, are also among those who have survived.

A number of grandkids, including Bree, Ashton, Elise, Eli, Jonathan Jr., Liam, Christian, Cora, Cayden, Rowan, and David, are still alive and being adored by their grandparents. In addition, Barry is survived by his Uncle Chuck Moll, who was married to Judy, as well as a number of cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and members of his extended family, as well as a large number of close friends.

Over the course of his life, Barry has had a deep and abiding passion for baseball. When Barry was in Montclaire, New Jersey, he went to College High School, which was a demonstration high school located on the grounds of Montclaire State College. He graduated from College High School. While he was in his final year of high school, he made the decision to devote his life to Christ.

He moved to West Virginia in order to attend his cherished West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon. It was there that he met his devoted wife, Pam, and he loved both our state and our state so much that he never considered leaving. Following the completion of his studies at Wesleyan, he went on to get a Master of Divinity degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, which is located in Atlanta, Georgia.

The next years of Barry’s life were spent in the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, where he served as a pastor with unwavering devotion. Following his retirement from pastoral ministry in 2018, Barry immediately began serving as the Chaplain at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, a ministry that he found to be filled with a great deal of satisfaction.

In the most recent instance, Barry’s commitment to assisting people and his willingness to serve was demonstrated through his work at the Upshur Parish House in Buckhannon. In addition to this, he has successfully completed mission trips for a number of different places all around the world. A significant number of them are working with Volunteers in Mission.

He played a significant role in the development of the Celebration of Mission Event that was held at the West Virginia Annual Conference many years ago. Through his devotion to Christ, Barry has made a positive impact on the lives of a great number of people all around the world. It was his firm conviction that one might deliver a more powerful sermon with one’s own life than with one’s own words combined.

The First United Methodist Church, located at 315 Kerens Avenue, Elkins, West Virginia 26241, will be open for visitors on Friday, April 5th, 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm, for the purpose of allowing relatives and friends to pay their respects. After that, at one o’clock in the afternoon, there will be a memorial ceremony held at the First United Methodist Church in Elkins.

There will be officiants who are members of the Covenant Group led by Reverend Moll. In loving memory of Barry, gifts can be given to the Upshur Parish House, which is located at 68 College Avenue, Buckhannon, West Virginia 26201, or to the West Virginia University Medicine Hospice, which is located at 12 Rousch Drive, Morgantown, West Virginia 26501-3872. It is the responsibility of the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins to make the necessary preparations for the Reverend Barry Robert Moll.
