Michael W. Shaw Obituary, Cherished Native Of Weymouth, Massachusetts Has Sadly Passed Away
Michael W. Shaw Obituary, Death – Weymouth said goodbye to Mr. Michael W. Shaw on March 25, 2024. Mr. Shaw was a beloved member whose presence brightened many people’s days.
A Weymouth Native and Sports Enthusiast
Michael was very much a product of his hometown and a proud 1985 graduate of Weymouth North High School. He made a significant contribution to Local #17 for many years as a sheet metal worker, making a long-lasting impression on his neighborhood. Sports and outdoor activities brought Michael great joy, even outside of his career. Michael loved sports, no matter where he was—soaking up the sun at the beach or playing pick-up games on the field. His love for baseball was obvious to everyone who knew him, having previously been inducted into the North Adams Baseball team.
A Beloved Husband, Stepfather, and Son
Michael’s legacy of love extends beyond the sports field. He was close to both his stepdaughter, Kelseigh Rice, and wife, Nancy Shaw, of Stoughton. Being the stepson of Paul Sharland and the son of Carolyn M. Sharland, Michael treasured his relationships with his family and the encouragement they gave him throughout his life. Along with several wonderful nieces and nephews, he leaves behind his brother, Kevin Shaw, and nieces and nephews, Brooke and Jake Shaw. Michael was also a beloved stepbrother to Leanne Brown of Maine and Carolyn and Paul Sharland of Weymouth.
Fondly Remembered by Many
Everyone who came into contact with Michael was won over by his kind and amiable disposition. Many family members and close friends, including his beloved friend Roberta Levesque, will sincerely miss him.
The community will honor the memory of a man whose kindness and camaraderie left a lasting impression on their lives as they come together to pay their respects.
