Mika Meyers Obituary, Death – With great sadness, Albemarle County Fire Rescue announces the sudden death of firefighter Mika Meyers on Friday, March 29, 2024, while he was not on duty. Meyers, who has been an important department member since 2020, leaves behind a legacy of commitment and service that is going to be sorely missed.

Until FF Meyers is laid to rest, our badges will be covered as a sign of honor and memory. We respectfully request that the public respect the family’s privacy as they grieve their loss, as memorial services are still planned.

Community Support:

To help Mika’s family through this trying time, a GoFundMe page has been established. Mika departs, leaving his wife Christin and their daughter, age 11, to deal with the difficult task of raising their daughter without him. The money raised will help his daughter financially by paying for her future pursuits and her funeral as well as everyday expenses.

All those who knew him are invited to celebrate his life and legacy at this ceremony, which will serve as a testament to his impact.
