Cause of Death and Obituary for Isaac Schuman The trial of a Prior Lake resident who is charged with killing a teenager on the Wisconsin Apple River over two years ago and stabbing four other people started on Monday.
The detectives claim to have found footage from July 2022 that shows Nicolae Miu being pushed and struck by a group of tubers on the river before to stabbing five people, one of them was 17-year-old Isaac Schuman.
The ages of these victims, who came from Wisconsin and Minnesota, ranged from 17 to 24. Witnesses said that Miu was first in the Apple River with goggles and a snorkel. Even though a group of tubers accused Miu of staring at young girls while they were submerged, Miu told authorities he was looking for a misplaced mobile phone.
Miu was the aggressor, according to the prosecution, since she stabbed five separate victims. Four more people were stabbed in the torso and sent to the hospital, while Schuman was declared dead at the scene. Officers believe Miu was the owner of the knife they subsequently discovered on the riverbank.
Miu was allegedly bothering women while he was surrounded by others, according to his legal lawyers. According to his lawyers, he waited to act hostilely against the gang until he was afraid of them. It seems like he was defending himself at the moment. Miu entered a not guilty plea to all of the charges made against him in September of 2022.
He is charged with four charges of attempted first-degree harm and one count of first-degree murder. If Miu is found guilty, she may get a life term in prison. The trial is now being held in the St. Croix County Courthouse in Hudson, Wisconsin.
