James Ledford Obituary, Death Cause – Willard Lee and Carrie Ledford, who have now passed away, were Jamie’s parents when he was born on May 22, 1978. It was his late grandfather and grandmother, Truman and Maggie Ledford and Truman and Mary Crochan, as well as his late father-in-law, Terry Rice, and his late brothers-in-law, Jerry Singleton and Kelby Rice, who provided him with a great deal of affection. The 30th of March, 2024, he went to be with them in heaven at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Despite the fact that Jamie had a tremendous impact on a large number of people, his most notable achievement was his work with the youngsters who were on his bus route. During his ten years of service at Roane County Schools Bus Transportation, he was responsible for playing music, delivering fist pumps, and ensuring that every child felt loved and comfortable around him. Before that, he spent twenty-five years working alongside Mike Heinze at Mike’s Masonry.

During that time, he gained a lot of friends, but his friend Tree was always there for him. The sport of dirt track racing was something that Jamie was passionate about, and he was always prepared to assist his pals Gary Lively and Ted Lowe in getting ready for the next event. In addition, Jamie enjoyed fishing, watching the University of Georgia football team, and working alongside his friend Red Lawson at the Blair Fire Department.

Shannon Ledford, his wife of 22 years, his brother Truman (and his wife Mindy) of Nashville, Tennessee, his sister Penny (and her husband Jason) Hall of Wartburg, Tennessee, his mother-in-law Donna Rice of Coalfield, Tennessee, his sisters-in-law Ruthie (and her husband Andy) Fadnek of Coalfield, Tennessee, and Beth Rice of Coalfield, Tennessee, are among those who survive Jamie.

His nieces and nephews, including Austin Hall, Haven Hall, Hannah Hall, Nick (Christina) Ledford, Holly Ledford, Corey (Brooke) Singleton, Courtney (Doug) Burress, Lindsey (Corey) Verner, Tymber (Daren) Luna, Logan (Kaitlyn) Fadnek, and his “little man” Corben Rice, held a very special place in Jamie’s heart. He also had a special place in his heart for his “little man” Corben Rice. Furthermore, his great nieces and nephews, Cage and Caselyn Singleton, as well as Cheyenne Verner, are also included.

As an alternative to sending flowers, donations can be made to either the Schubert Funeral Home or the Blair Fire Department. A visitation will be held for friends on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. The funeral service will then take place at 5:30 p.m. afterwards. After the service, the burial will take place at the Montgomery Cemetery in Lancing.
