Fr John Johnson Death Wigan, St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Wigan Mourns The Loss

John Johnson, a beloved figure in the community, sadly passed away last night. As the Parish Priest of Saint Marys, he dedicated his life to serving others.

In his memory, it would be greatly appreciated if you could keep him in your prayers. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. Tragically, Father Johnson passed away while fulfilling his duties in this position.

In 1967, Father Johnson was ordained to the priesthood, marking a significant milestone in his religious journey. In the past, he served as an assistant priest at various parishes, including Saint Oswald’s Church in Ashton, before being appointed to his current position.

In the 1980s, he assumed the role of Parish Priest at St. William’s Church in Ince. Throughout an extended period, he held that position. In a surprising turn of events, Father Johnson, previously employed in the butcher trade, has now found himself in a different line of work.

A promotion has been granted to him, placing him in his current position. In Scot Lane, a small town, he entered the world.

In a remarkable display of dedication, Father Johnson faithfully served as the Parish Priest of Saint Mary’s for an impressive thirty-three years. His unwavering commitment to his role has left an indelible mark on the community.

During his tenure, the individual’s service proved to be highly productive. In December 2023, a retirement was scheduled to take place for an individual. During his tenure, he took on the role of Parish Priest at St. John’s Church in Standishgate and Sacred Heart Church in Springfield.

Two churches can be found in Springfield. In the city of Springfield, you can find both of these places of worship. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and former parishioners of Father Johnson as they navigate through this challenging period.
