Michael Jackson Death Notice – We regret to notify you of the passing of Michael James Jackson, who died away on April 2, 2024 in Alpena. His passing has left us with a burden of sadness. In the moments leading up to his demise, he was encircled by the loving members of his family. Michael, who went away at the age of 73, left behind a legacy that will be remembered for all time, one that is filled with love, service, and kindness. This legacy will carry on for generations to come. As a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Michael, who was more commonly referred to as Mike, was someone who was deeply loved. His birthday is October 10th, 1950, and he was born in St. Clair, Michigan. Other people referred to him as Mike. His limitless compassion and kindheartedness touched the lives of a large number of people, and he left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on forever.

Mike Jackson was the cherished son of Orville and Bertha Jackson, both of whom have since died away. He was brought up in a colorful household with his siblings Terry Decker (Libby), Patsy Drake (John), Bart Jackson (Jan), Linda Kay Alexander, and Gary Decker, all of whom have since passed away. During their time together, they were able to establish a beautiful family that includes their children, Tammy Jackson-Parker, Josh Jackson, Tony (Amy) Jackson, and Nichole Jackson, who unfortunately went away. Susanne was the person he found to be his soulmate, and the two of them went on to create a lovely family together. Mike proudly served his country by enlisting in the Air Force in 1974 and later serving in the military. He has served his country with honor and is a veteran who is patriotic.

During the entirety of his time in the military, he served as a security expert with a canine unit, exhibiting an exceptionally high degree of dedication and commitment. In the civilian sector, he pursued his passion for autos, which he had developed during his time in the military. He had formed this passion while he was serving in the military. In the years that followed his graduation from the automotive technology program at Alpena Community College, Mike created a successful career as a mechanic.

Eventually, he became the proprietor of Mike’s Auto and became responsible for its operation. The community that he had been serving for more than 25 years was able to respect and trust him as a result of his honesty and skill. He was able to earn this respect and trust. Mike’s excitement for life was infectious, as evidenced by his love of the great outdoors, his commitment to his fellow veterans, and his involvement with philanthropic organizations.

His enthusiasm was contagious when it came to life. He was an active participant in a number of community initiatives, including the Relay for Life cancer awareness walk, the fundraising for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and the support of Operation Holidays through the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA). These are just a few of the numerous activities that he took part in.

His dedication to his fellow veterans was unflinching during the entirety of Mike’s tenure as a founding member of Veterans Veterans of America Chapter 583. The time that Mike was able to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was something that he held in the highest regard. He had a strong commitment to his family. His feelings for them were unrestrained, and he took a great deal of pleasure in witnessing their growth and accomplishments. He was a huge fan of them.

The visitation will start at eleven in the morning and continue until the funeral service, which will take place at three in the afternoon and will be presided over by Deacon Michael Roy. McWilliams Funeral Home is going to be the location of the memorial service that will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Mike’s family and friends are strongly asked to pay their respects by attending the funeral service.

In lieu of sending flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Operations Holiday, care of VVA Chapter 583. This is an alternative to conventional flower delivery. A cause that held a great deal of significance for Mike was this one. Even though we are devastated by Michael James Jackson’s loss, we take solace in the knowing that his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all those people who had the good fortune to have met him. This knowledge brings us peace. It is my hope that he finds eternal peace in the afterlife.
