Russell Coleman Death Notice – Our hearts are filled with sorrow as we share the news that Mr. Russell Gene Coleman, who resided in Mullins, South Carolina, and was 74 years old, died away in a calm and tranquil manner on April 1, 2024. His loyal wife and daughters were by his side when he passed away, and they were all there to comfort him. Even though the circumstances surrounding his leaving are not fully known at this time, his family, friends, and people of the community remember him with a sentiment that is warm and affectionate. Russell Coleman was born on January 30, 1950, to his late parents, Nelson Eugene Coleman and Judy Irene Moore Coleman. Both of his parents have since passed away.

His formative years were spent in the Rains area, and he was a devoted member of the Reedy Creek Baptist Church throughout his whole life. Russell moved on to devote himself to serving his community with a great deal of zeal and commitment after graduating from Rain-Centenary High School in 1969.

He did this after getting his diploma. Even though Russell is getting ready to step down from his job as captain of the Mullins Police Department, he is continuing to leave behind a legacy of commitment and service to the community. In addition to his role as a D.A.R.E. instructor in the region’s schools, it was common knowledge that he also served as a driving instructor at the Criminal Justice Academy.

Additionally, he was honored for the outreach efforts that he had made in the schools. There was nothing that could equal the love that Russell felt for his family, but his enthusiasm for his community was the only thing that could. Russell’s presence brought joy and comedy to every Sunday supper. In addition to being a devoted husband to his wife Nancy for more than half a century, a loving father to Michele and Christy, and a treasured Papa to Coleman and Dylan, Russell was also a person who was a treasured Papa to all of his children.

In addition to being a buddy, he was a wellspring of love and affection that never ran out. A prankster, he was. Russell leaves behind his sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends, who were among his most treasured possessions in addition to his immediate family and members of his extended family.

On Wednesday evening, April 3, the family will allow guests to pay their respects at the Cox-Collins Funeral Home, which will serve as the place for the visitation. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Chapel of the Cox-Collins Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon, April 4, at 2:00 PM. The service will be held in memory of the deceased. Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the cemetery of the Centenary Methodist Church will be the location where the deceased will be laid to rest.

Patriot Hospice provided the family with excellent care, and the family would like to take this opportunity to show their gratitude to the organization. You could choose to make a donation to the Law Enforcement Against Drugs Program as an alternative to delivering flowers to the recipient. The memory of Russell will live on in the hearts of all those individuals who had the honor of knowing and loving him. He has earned the right to rest in peace.
