Scott Burns Obituary, Death – My brother Scott Burns passed away at his home in Epsom, Surrey, on Saturday, March 9th. It is with a heavy heart that I share the news regarding his passing. As of right now, there are no funeral arrangements that have been made due to the circumstances; however, I will publish an update as soon as I can, Scott Burns. His maternal grandparents, Allie and Irma Harmon, as well as his paternal grandfather, Jerry McMurray, passed away before he was born. The things that brought Scott the most happiness were his two dogs, Lewis and Stevie, as well as his family and the numerous friends he had.
Beginning at a young age, Scott exhibited a persistent entrepreneurial spirit. He was always coming up with new ideas for projects and businesses, and he was always working on developing those ideas. While working together, Scott and Chelsey were able to establish a successful cleaning services business and a short-term rental management company. This relationship was a source of great satisfaction for both of them. The fact that Scott was naturally gregarious and sociable, along with having the grace and emotional intelligence to enable him to easily connect and build rapport with individuals of varying ages, backgrounds, and experiences, was one of the many exceptional characteristics that he possessed.
Scott was an avid participant in a wide variety of outdoor and recreational activities, including but not limited to: hiking and camping in the Great Smoky Mountains; skiing in the Colorado Rockies; weightlifting and conditioning in his garage; and most recently, pickleball, which was inspired by his father.
Even though Scott was a skilled chef and bartender, he never missed an opportunity to indulge in a home-cooked meal and a glass of high-quality wine. With his dry sense of humor, his appreciation for a good “dad joke,” and his ability to effortlessly make people around him feel at ease, he was a natural.
Scott attended the University of Tennessee after graduating from West High School in Knoxville in 2004. He also attended the University of Illinois. Cooking, the hotel sector, video and sophisticated board games, and the equity markets in the United States were all areas in which he attained a significant level of expertise.
He was a lifelong learner who was passionate about learning. At the time, Scott was working at HomeRate Mortgage as a mortgage lender with the company. The decision that Scott made to become an organ donor was in line with his aspiration to be of assistance to other people.
Everyone he came in contact with was left with a lasting impact by his vivacious personality, and he will be sorely missed. On Monday, January 30, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., a memorial service honoring his life will be conducted at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church, which is located at 3700 Keowee Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Immediately after the service, a reception will be held for his family and friends.
