17-year-old Jania Mobley and 29-year-old Chris Collins killed in Columbus 10th Street shooting
A homicide investigation is currently in progress near 10th Street in Columbus, where two individuals have been confirmed dead and one injured, according to the coroner.
Authorities reported that Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of 10th Street following reports of shots fired around 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
Upon their arrival, they discovered a male, identified as 29-year-old Chris Collins, deceased in the roadway.
Despite EMS efforts, resuscitation was unsuccessful.
Deputy Coroner Ben Saxon arrived and officially pronounced Collins deceased at 1:50 a.m.
Additionally, two females were involved in the incident: 17-year-old Jania Mobley and Angel King.
Mobley was pronounced deceased at 1:39 a.m. by an ER doctor, while King sustained an injury and was transported to the hospital via private vehicle.
She is currently receiving medical treatment.
The families of the victims have been notified.
