Danny Thornton Obituary, Death – A public announcement on the passing of Daniel Thornton, which occurred on Friday, March 1, 2024, was made by Young Fulford Funeral Home and Crematory – Tallahassee, which is located in Tallahassee, Florida. Martha (Strickland) and Lewis Thornton Jr. raised their son Danny in Blackshear, Georgia, where he was born. The Blackshear, Waycross area was his home during his entire life, where he was born and raised. For the majority of his life, Danny was employed as a welder and fabricator. On November 2, 1997, he underwent a heart transplant without any complications.

After receiving a heart transplant, he has been alive for 26 years, making him one of the recipients in Georgia who has survived the longest. On March 11, 1987, Danny tied the knot with Deborah Moody, the woman he had loved his entire life.

They shared a passion for fishing and camping together. Danny was a talkative person who never encountered a stranger in his life. He was also well-known for his expertise as a griller, with “Danny Burgers” being his particular area of expertise.

Following the death of his cherished wife, Danny chose to spend his time with his trusted companion and accomplice in crime, Winchester, who he referred to as his “little buddy.” Danny was known to have a vast and tender heart, and he would do anything for anyone who was in need, regardless of who it was or how he was treated.

He would do anything for anyone. Danny’s favorite things to do were to laugh and have a wonderful time. It was his “snakebite” that he felt the most affection for. His persistent faith served as an inspiration to others who were in his immediate vicinity.

He was a passionate believer who discovered comfort in his relationship with the Lord. Daniel exemplified the virtues of compassion, forgiveness, and love throughout his life by embodying these principles and living his life with integrity and elegance.

Even though we are saddened by Daniel’s loss, we find comfort in the memories we shared with him and the impact he had on our lives during the time he was with us. It is through the innumerable lives that he touched and the kindness that he spread that his legacy will continue to live on.
