Death and Obituary of Johnny Andrade:- We regret to inform you of the loss of Lieutenant Johnny Andrade, who left us on Wednesday, March 13. Lt. Andrade’s tenure with the agency began in September 1997 at the Central Reception & Assignment Facility (CRAF), where he began a career centred on dedication and service.

Johnny Andrade’s private life
Lt. Andrade shown unrelenting devotion and professionalism during his remarkable 26-year stint with the NJDOC. He began his tenure with the agency as an officer and worked his way up to become Sergeant at the Albert C. Wagner Youth Correctional Facility in February 2011. After CRAF closed in January 2021, Lt. Andrade returned because of his unwavering dedication to excellence.

Career Lt. Andrade’s trajectory in the workforce persisted, and in March 2022, when he was appointed Lieutenant in South Woods State Prison, his leadership abilities were properly acknowledged. He carried out his responsibilities with the customary dedication and honesty, making a lasting impression on everyone he came into contact with.

Lt. Andrade joined the Mid-State Correctional Facility in August 2023, bringing with him a lot of expertise and commitment. He served there honourably until his tragic death. Respected and admired by both coworkers and prisoners, Lt. Andrade was well-known for his upbeat attitude and soothing effect.

His loss resonates across the NJDOC community and leaves a noticeable vacuum in the hallways of the Mid-State Correctional Facility. We shall all continue to be inspired by Lt. Andrade’s legacy of moral rectitude, empathy, and unflinching devotion to duty.
