Maureen OSTLER Obituary, Death – Maureen Ostler, eighty years old, went away quietly at Gilmerton Nursing Home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. She was the adored granny to Josh and Sam, the loving mother of Juliette and Jacqueline, and the cherished wife of the late John Ostler.

Love, devotion, and the tender care she gave her family characterized Maureen’s life. She was John’s wife, and she supported him through the good times and the bad. Her presence filled their home with warmth and comfort, and her love knew no limits.

Maureen was a dedicated mother who gave her all to raising her two daughters, Juliette and Jacqueline. She took on the role of caregiver with gentleness and grace, tending to their needs and offering them constant support and affection. Every part of her life was devoted to her children, and her love for them was unconditional.

Maureen was a wellspring of love and happiness for her grandchildren, Sam and Josh. She loved their hugs, laughed heartily with them, and felt great pride in seeing them develop. Her love left an enduring impression on their hearts, and her presence in their lives was a blessing.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, at 1:30 pm, there will be a funeral service held at Mortonhall Crematorium, Pentland Chapel, in honor of Maureen’s life. We are inviting everyone who knew and loved Maureen to join us in celebrating her life, remembering special moments, and finding comfort in the love she gave.

The family respectfully asks that only family flowers be sent in remembrance of Maureen. We sincerely appreciate and value your presence and support during this time of remembrance. Let us cherish the memories of Maureen’s love, generosity, and gentle spirit as we say our final goodbyes to her.
