Minerva, Ohio as the community mourns the loss of Allen Lee Mayle, a 75-year-old resident who sadly passed away at Aultman Health Foundation on Monday, April 1, 2024. In Grafton, West Virginia, on May 21, 1948, a baby boy entered the world, bringing joy to his parents, Virgil Mayle and Sarah.
Allen, a dedicated employee, has recently retired from his long-standing position at LTV Steel after many years of service.
‘Allen’s dedication extended well beyond his professional accomplishments, as he generously devoted 18 years to serving as a foster parent. In addition, his active participation in the Minerva Area Coon Hunters Association demonstrated his dedication to the local community. Unfortunately, an individual with a diverse array of hobbies and interests has recently passed away.
A man with a passion for hunting, fishing, and playing the guitar has left a lasting impression. A man with deep ties to his loved ones and a strong sense of community involvement, he actively participated in local events and openly shared his religious convictions across various churches.
During his leisure hours, he found great pleasure in exploring the worlds of literature and cinema, especially Westerns. These captivating stories of the untamed frontier would transport him to a different realm.
Allen’s passing has left his children, Lori Collins, Melanie Mayle, Scott Mayle, David Mayle, Matthew Mayle, Charity Grindstaff, and Benjamin Mayle, along with their mother Charlotte Mayle, in mourning. Edward Morris, a close companion, was left behind by the deceased.
Two individuals known for their shared interest in studying the Bible would frequently meet for breakfast, enjoying a cup of coffee as they delved into its depths. Allen has become a proud grandparent to a large and growing family. Trinity Grindstaff, Elijah Mayle, Lilly Mayle, Gabrielle Mayle, Shawn Mayle, Kristin Mayle, Pamela Mayle, and Logan Mayle are all part of Allen’s expanding circle of grandchildren.
Furthermore, he is survived by three great-grandchildren. In addition, he leaves behind a significant number of nieces and nephews. Patricia Mayle, Vernice Mayle, Cornelius Mayle, Alisa Mayle, and Carla Collins have been confirmed as the surviving siblings of the deceased.
A devastating loss has befallen the Allen family, leaving them in a state of deep mourning. In a heartbreaking turn of events, Allen’s parents are now grappling with the unimaginable pain of losing their cherished child. Tragedy strikes as he mourns the loss of his son, Allen Mayle Jr, his brother, Kyle Mayle, and his grandson, Trevor Alan Grindstaff.
A funeral service has been scheduled to honor and remember Allen’s life. A service has been scheduled for Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Bartley Funeral Home. Located at 205 West Lincoln Way in Minerva, Ohio, is a funeral home.
The service will be led by Anthony Wayne Mayle from Canton Freewill Baptist Church. The burial service is anticipated to conclude with the interment at Bethlehem Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for friends and loved ones on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bartley Funeral Home.
